The Dental Technology study program has the mission to train dental technicians, under the careful guidance of USV teachers, in the clinical and practical activities dedicated to the educational process of these students and in correlation with the entrepreneurial aspect of the dental technician profession.
The didactic laboratories dedicated to the Dental Technique program within USV and the numerous facilities offered to the students guarantee the development of a modern and dynamic educational process.
The main responsibilities of the dental technician are to go through all the classic or digital stages of making fixed, mobile or mobilizable dental prosthetic restorations, which meet the patient’s needs from a functional and aesthetic point of view, making devices or appliances necessary for orthodontic treatment or maxillofacial prostheses. to increase the loss of substance in the oro-maxillo-facial territory. The dental technician will also work in a team with doctors, participating in certain clinical stages of treatment.
Graduates of the Dental Technician program will have general notions specific to the field of Dentistry and in-depth knowledge necessary to practice Dental Technique, will have basic and applied research skills, will be able to easily integrate into the labor market represented by health systems and will be able to work in teams. multidisciplinary (doctors-technicians-nurses) to benefit the patient.
